What Causes the Radiator Fan Assembly to Fail?
2022 06/16
Radiator fan assembly failure can occur for a number of reasons, but usually the main contributing factor is vehicle age and mileage. Furthermore, cars that experience high levels of traffic each day or are frequently in stop-and-go conditions are more susceptible to radiator fan assembly failure. Because the motor is a moving, electrical part, it is common for the fan motor to burn out before other parts like the shroud or fan itself. This often leads to just replacing the fan motor itself; however, it`s important to have your automotive technician thoroughly inspect the entire assembly and replace any other damaged or cracked parts to prevent failure in the future.
